Day 9 #30daysofme
What am I proud of in the last few days? Well let me see????
Sad but true, probably the fact that I went out yesterday and bought a new barrel for the top lock on out front door and whole new lock for the bottom handle, and fitted them. Both our locks have gone to the pack in the last month and so it was getting frustrating. Fitting them involved a fair bit of chiseling etc, so I was feeling like Mr Handyman, which is something I don't do often.
What next? Well the bathroom needs sorting.....
Day 8 #30daysofme
Short term goals for this month? Ok here we go
1) Ensure that the MyCard Online Project delivers on time, on target and with a minimal amount of fuss. This is the way I like projects to run and frankly I have no interest in stress!
2) Tidy my study. It is a freaken mess. I have added things and added things. I need to sort it out, I need to throw things out.
3) Finish one of the 3 songs I am writing at the moment on the Piano. I need to close one and I need to practice more and getting better.
I think 3 for a month is ok don't you?

Day 7 #30daysofme
Someone or something that has had a huge influence on me. Well George Michael actually. A bit ironic, since the silly git has got himself behind bars for 4 weeks, but his drug issues aside, he has influenced me musically more than anyone else. I don't care what you say about his music or his issues, the guy has got a great voice and that is his first and foremost influence on me. As a singer, I aspire to sound as good as him, aspire to be as comfortable as him on stage, aspire to write half as well as him. He has consistently changed and adapted muscially over several decades now and I always like his stuff. It was a total highlight for me to see him live at the start of this year, a lifetime ambition come true.

Day 6 #30daysofme
Ok, so my favourite superhero.... Well I really do think it has to be Batman. I am talking 1960's TV Batman here by the way. Camp to the mostest, the show was brilliant, and I remember spending many an hour as a child watching it when I cam home from school. I like the fact that he had no special power, just lots of money and things he invented. Who doesn't love the Batmobile and the associated toys? Cheesy oneliners peppered the show and the Bam, Kapow, Wham, sound effects bubbles just made it so cool.
